It's pretty easy to do a Spotlight Search to find Silverlight on your Mac. The Sliverlight.plugin file is the actual plug-in. Put that file into the trash, empty the trash, and Silverlight is no longer available to run on your Mac. 2018-9-27  I am using Firefox ESR 52.1.0 on a MacBook. I was on Mac OS High Sierra and Silverlight was working on Safari until I installed Safari 12. At that point Firefox ESR 52.1.0 still ran Silverlight. I along with other users of a company Silverlight application have updated to Mac OS Mojave. 2018-9-26  I use silverlight for probably 70% of my work software and experienced this exact same problem today, also on 10.12.6. Can't get anything done now. I've avoided upgrading to High Sierra specifically worried that I'd lose the ability to use Silverlight. Now I've found out that Firefox has also discontinued support for Silverlight.
